Nice, means more people will actually use the thing before leaping to conclusions about it. Wonder what the cost will be though if it comes with Kinect?
Should have asked him if it's next gen, he seemed to be hinting at that..
IGN asking the hard-hitting questions.
I didn't buy the Wii U to play Rayman Legends, lol. But yeah, it's not really an encouraging sign that the console has lost an exclusive already after just a few months.
Definitely agree with Viva Pinata on Kinect, lot of potential there.
Hope so, looks extremely cool.
Just no pleasing some people!
Looking back at the launch years for 360 and PS3, I think Nintendo are doing fine.
I don't use the video stuff either but it doesn't really bother me that it's there - like it's there at the expense of games or something.
The rise of downloads and Kinect integration are two of the more exciting frontiers of modern-day gaming as far as I'm concerned, so I'm not too worried for next gen.
Good to see action over this. Hopefully it sends a clear message that any risk to security details is totally unacceptable!
Lots of awesome stuff today but this is still the pick!
I already hate it when people call Xbox 'the original Xbox' or 'the first Xbox' so hopefully Microsoft can come up with something else for the next machine.
It's quite funny that this article is actually MAKING FUN OF SOMEONE WHO POSED THIS QUESTION -- then despairing over the prospect of a new Fanboy Generation.
It's fun for some people, they support the consoles like they support sports teams ... they have their favourite like they have their favourite album. I reckon most N4G readers own all the consoles by now, though.
They're all the same right, oh ye of discerning taste.
It's striking that Kinect has only been around for two years, feels like longer. In that time it's amassed a sizable library that includes some casual and some hardcore, lots of dancing, some really weird stuff and two of my favourite games of this generation. All of which makes me excited for the next!
At this point it's sort of in limbo until the next Xbox and a new version, but I think it's served us well this gen - decent sales and lots of original, fun games.
Yeah, well having beaten the game I can safely say the controls did work, but it takes patience to learn and composure and skill to pull off.
I think assuming it is "effortless" was your mistake, you need to take a bit of time with the set up and make your movements deliberate and consistent or Kinect doesn't know what you're doing.
Remember that this was a completely unprecedented control system - you can't expect to go straight in and ...
Yeah, for me and the dozen other dudes who figured out how to play it, it was one of 2012's gems.
Naturally we all want something new, but there's no way you can accuse Nintendo of being stale, having released the Wii last gen and Wii U this.
I'm happy to keep playing Mario so long as the games are good (which sounds duff, but it's the truth), and I'd argue that each entry in the series has not only its own features, but also its own identity (Mario 3 - Yoshi's Island - Mario 64 - Sunshine - Galaxy - NSMBU). Unless you don't want them to be platfor...
Makes sense, if they're going to give you more why not charge more?
